Most of us are not quantity 25 buyers, so what's your price for 1 to 5 units. Where are they shipped from, and about how much to ship to, say, Australia, Europe, and the US?

Do you have a website - use www dot something dot somewhere because of the link limitation? Link to motor specifications?

Just like he said we buy in orders of 1-5 typically and maybe up to 10, not 25. We need a lot more information. If you are a legitimate manufacturer you should have a web site and a lot more info on your product. Imagine it from our point of view. Put yourself in the shoes of the buyer. Why would we buy with no contact (except Skype), no detailed product info, no company name, no web site information. This is all stuff any reprap builder is going to need to even consider using your product. I hate to have to sell the product for you.

We build up a website especially for 3d printer makers:
Please search robotdigg
Welcome your inquiries.
For 1-5pcs, it's ok for us but the shipping cost is high to each motor.
We suggest 10pcs motor with pulley, belt and more to average the shipping cost. It's more better for you guys I think.

I'm a little Leary of your website. Prices are almost too good to be true and you have renderings of Japicas failed kickstarter 3D printer which is a little weird considering he was caught ripping people off and was forced off kickstarter for infringements of their contract. Buyer beware. If its too good to be true it usually is.

Your shopping cart doesn't work. I wanted to add some parts and determine what the delivered price was, but add to cart doesn't work, nor does the cart open.

The TR8 motors look in interesting. The described version appears perfect for a Printrbot Z axis, assuming the motors are any good. I'd like try a pair of standard 1.2A motors on before investing in the big $$ for the TR8 models. Do you sell TR8 trapazoidal rod and nuts without a motor attached?

The bearing prices look about the same as equivalent ebay versions, although those include shipping which would make these a bit spendier. The motors are around ebay prices for china direct motors; shipping for q1 on the bay is about $10.00. I'd have to say their prices are pretty typical for china, if you factor in ebay's cut. It would be nice to know if they're as good as Kysan or more like the problem motors being shipped with the Jr.

Don't know about the Japica renderings, never paid much attention. Suspect their web person just grabbed random stuff of the net and ignored potential copyrights.

Tried ordering a few parts to see if it's legit. Selected a few items and proceeded to checkout. Instead, it led me to a page saying they received my order and I have to write to sales@robotdigg.com my address in order for them to calculate the shipping cost. Didn't get a chance to input my payment information, not sure how this process works.

I don't feel confident about this supplier.

Hi everyone,

I bought many items from robotdigg and everything was delivered today at my address. People are concerned about this "too good to be truth" prices, but I can tell it's not the case. It took 7 days for it to arrive to me (Brazil). No items missing or any problems.

What form of payment did you use? Shipping cost? Could you take a picture of what you ordered? The price is good but up the point in the payment process, it starts to get a bit fuzzy in details.

I can vouch for it that it´s real, and the prices are as advertised.

Yes the webshop may not have the automation and information service that one are used to expect in other shops. The information after purchase isn´t automatic either but if one asks through email you get an quick answer about postage (DHL tracking number in my case) etc and it worked just fine. I did a test order and even with the 36 dollar DHL fee (to Sweden for 4 nema 14 stepper motors for my Huxley) it's still cheaper than any alternative I've seen so far. The payment was made through paypal. 7 days from order to pick up with DHL. I will definetly order more stuff here withthout any hesitation.

I would love to order sum stuff from robotdigg but I just need someone I kno or have had some interactions with that has bought from them. All I see is their ads all over every forum, a half working site and not really any satisfied customer posts.

Because, it's a scam or at best case someone trying to manipulate you into buying sub par products. Use your judgement, which appears you already did, it's just not a good deal.

Or buy something and write a review :)

Can you please tell us how we can order special items from your company. For example: Your description for the Nema 17 motors with built in Acme rods say that you can order them with different types and lengths of rods but there is no place to make those selections. How do I go about ordering a motor/rod combo that isn't listed? Example: Nema 17 with Tr8*8 Screw and 500mm long

I did several times and I commented on it in my thread on Acme rod opinions. Figured I'd try my luck here.

Here is what I wrote in that thread:
"I've been emailing back and forth with someone at Robotdigg but I can't get a straight answer from him. They offer different rod types and lengths for their motors but there is no way to choose what you want. They offer a 480mm T8-12 with six starts but i want a 500mm T8-8 rod so i can use their anti-backlash nits. That rod type and length is listed in the product description as options you can choose. However, there is no menu to allow you to choose the type of rods and length you want, just the option to add the 480mm T8-12 to your cart. I've sent four emails asking how I select the type of rod and length I want if the options are not able to be selected on their site. I've gotten these answers:
-They carry many rod options besides the ones available to purchase on their site
-they would cost $55 each plus shipping
-the shipping options available for the package
-it would take 30 to 35 days to supply the motors I want.

Some of the replies have even used exact quotes of my previous emails in them. I mean the quote was from two emails before, those words were not even used in the email they are replying to. I know one member said he successfully got motors from the,m but it feels like a bot has been replying to my last four emails. The first two emails I had sent them (before those four) asking if they could supply 700mm and did their lengths include the rod inside the motors were answered properly. I REALLY don't know what to think. I'd like to order a set just to see if they are a scam but I want to be able to get the options I want incase they are not. Be pointless to have motors arrive that are not what I want to use."

I did make an error, the pre-built ones on the sure are 460mm not 480mm

Well everyone, I decided to bite the bullet and see what happens. Since I'm the one always asking about these guys and their products, I figured I should find out the details myself and do a report for all my printrbot brethren. I not only ordered from Robotdigg but I did a custom order. This meant no website transaction but a direct Paypal payment to them with my order in the notes to the company. I ordered two Nema 17 motors with 500mm Tr8*8 Acme rods with Anti-backlash nuts. The motors and nuts cost $110USD and shipping was $35USD for a total of $145USD. The order will take 30-35 day to process so I figure two months for me to get them in rural Labrador.

I will be sure to update you all as time progresses. I still might order the super-z kit when it comes out if I like the components. But I figure finding out what theses guys are like with custom orders for the entire forum is worth the gamble.

Wish me luck....

Update: My motors will be ready for shipping on October 12. Will keep you all informed

The only reason I only posted once was because I had a good transaction and I thought several posts here were unfair. I also wrote 4 nema14 motors in my previous post when it actually was 5.

Anyhow, maybe you smartypants can help me now instead. I´m in the process of wiring the nema14 motors in my Huxley but I´m not sure how this should be done since the color coding of the motors from Rogotdigg (gren, gray, yellow, red) aren not the same as any the instructions that i´ve come across, and also the connections on the adentissimo engines differ like 2 mm making me hesitant to just modify the connections a bit so that it all becomes "plug and play". So what to do? My MBA degree isn´t helping a lot right now...

Im trying to connect Robotdigg nema 14 with melzi-ardentissimo-allinone-controller-board-p-667.html

I've ordered from them. I got two of the TR8 ACME steppers. Shipping to California was pretty fast in my case. Came DHL. After you checkout with your order you will get an invoice via email and they accept PayPal. Well worth the money. The quality of my prints have increased dramatically since I've installed them.

Rocketcheese, I don't believe there's any real standards for motor color coding, at least any that are consistently followed.

If you have an ohmmeter (digital volt-ohm-milliamp meters are cheap these days, like under $10 or even $5) then pick a wire, then measure the resistance to each of the other three wires. You're looking for low resistance, one wire will be low, the rest high. That's one pair, call it A, and connect it to the A and A- terminals. Doesn't matter which is which. Check the two remaining wires, should be a low resistance between them. Call that pair B and B- and connect them. If motor moves the wrong way, switch B and B- only. Iirc your controller has screw terminals. Never, ever connect wires or disconnect motor wires with the power on, unless you want to see the magic smoke.

I am not with Robotdigg and have a positive post. I have received my custom motors with Acme rods from them this week (I was out of town for two weeks when the arrived). They look amazing and I'm in the process of designing mounts/brackets to fit the antibacklash nuts to the existing z-rod supports on my Plus v2. I admit the system for custom orders feels very sketchy, I tried it because I really wanted the motors and could give a review to my fellow members here. I sent them an email telling them what I wanted, then sent me an email telling me the price, the amount of time to fill my order and the address to send them money through paypal. That is the extent of what you get for customer experience in custom orders, which feels sketchy. But they are very prompt with replying to emails and I would email them randomly to check in on my order. My motors are everything I asked for, were on time and were every well packed for the journey with UPS. I have several other discussions on my process through other topics on this forum if you wish to look up other threads I've commented in.

This'll be just another post from a new user apparently made by robotdigg to boost his reputation but I was a bit worried when I ordered (about 200$ of stuff) and coudln't find feedback online after having second throughts. I'm registering for the sole purpose of confirming they are legit. Got some stuff at very good prices with very reasonnable shipping costs and delays (took 11 days from order to receipt and cost 50$ for 2x1.5kg parcels from china to montreal).

I verify that they are good merchants. I purchased many things from them with no complaints.
