Best place to buy parts?

Best place to buy parts?

Postby MYurkoski » 2018-Oct-Mon-15-Oct

Now that PB has closed down, I still have a lovely and capable Metal Plus that I'd like to service with new pulleys, belts, bearings, etc. Does anyone have recommendations on where to get such parts? I hesitate to go to Amazon because I'm never trusting of the quality of many eBay sellers.

Thanks,
MY

I've bought from ultimachine a few times in the past, fair prices and good experience. They have motors, belts, pulleys, fans, etc.

Thank you! I also stumbled upon RobotDigg, which seems to carry many bits and bobs for these things. Does anyone know where I can get a latest and greatest BOM for a Printrbot Metal Plus? I really like my metal plus and want to get a good pile of parts to maintain it for the foreseeable future.

I've attached the Plus BOM below. It was a part of the entire Printrbot file collection which I downloaded from this thread by Plexus: viewtopic.php?f=80&t=11835

Thank you for the info! I looked through the BOM and it does not have MFGs or MFG part #s. Is this information well know and cross referenced? Things like the linear rails and GT2 pulleys can vary depending on MFG so I want to make sure I get something comparable if there are any failures or wear items.

Let me know if there are any documents that link mfg part #s to the list provided earlier.
