Different colors, different strengths?

Postby rho-wan » 2014-May-Sat-18-May

Hello,
I am going to buy some new filament and I am evaluating a color different from my current bright green.
So I wondered, are different colors easier to use? maybe some melt at lower temperature, or they have different bonding strength, and so on.

Also, since I admit buying the cheapest filament I find around (and then I bake it in the oven), are there colors that are "easier" to manufacture and therefore more reliable when bought from unreliable manufacturers?

Thanks.

PrintrBot LCv2 and ABS. Flipped PCB with alu 3mm plate and then kapton on top, plus hairspray. Three paper rings ("frames") between PCB and alu plate, to compensate for the bulging PCB when warm.
Sunflower oil between PCB and alu plate to try to improve heat conduction (better than air anyway!)
