3M Scotch Blue "Delicate Surfaces" Tape: Do Not Try!

Postby ktfergus » 2016-Feb-Mon-22-Feb

I just wanted to post this so that no one makes the same dumb mistake I did. Somehow, when I last reordered tape I ended up ordering the "delicate" surfaces version, rather than the tried and true blue tape.

The "delicate surface" tape does not hold to the bed at all & it's super thin (we're talking a few angstroms). Plus, it's more expensive than the standard tape! Gah, I feel like a grade a moron & i'm out $9--hopefully I can stop anyone else from making the same mistake.

Thanks for the providing the warning.

I suspect it's rather thicker than a few Angstoms though. A sheet of graphene (mono-layer of carbon atoms) is about that!
