Not sure if it's been noticed, but it seems the wiki software is having issues, can't access most of the site.

Sorry about the wiki, folks. the software used for the wiki (mediawiki) and the forum (phpBB) are serious server side solutions which have a brain dead admin interface. you basically have to be a sys admin to be able to do anything other than basic things. i find they are both very fragile packages and that any small thing can take them down. then good luck trying to get through the weeds of all the files and php. if you are a sys admin with expertise in php then you can fix things. but if not (like me) its an uphill battle.

Apparently the ISP did some server software upgrade which triggered a bug in mediawiki. the solution is to upgrade it. but i have found (the hard way) that doing an upgrade can cause a critical failure. this happened a few time with the forum in the early days. now i don't mess with it. i tried an upgrade on the wiki and its still broken.

I just don't have the expertise to fix it. i also don't have the time to become an expert so I can fix it. such is the plight of open source software (i dont really like open source stuff for these reasons).

so there it is. sorry.

And by the way, formatting code to look good as presented on-screen by the wiki is a bit of a challenge (at least for someone who has never programmed in php or html).

PB fan mount + 40mm fan -- using printed mount adapter, not the E3D supplied fan
Injection molded extruder gears
Optical Z "endstop" (custom designed and built)
Have used many pounds of T-Glase filament. Now also doing some work with Ninjaflex SemiFlex

I will try and get the content from the wiki secured. your page specifically, Jay. the wiki is still up and the content is still there. it just needs to be fixed as per my previous post. at some point I will try and do so but it will require a lot of learning curve on my part so likely not something I will get to anytime soon.

I'd let someone else who knows how to fix these things do it however that would require giving them access to the guts of the forum - something I am not sure I want to do. I don't know anyone personally who knows php and media wiki etc. sorry folks. bit by open source!
