Hi guys,
Will you ship printrbot simple assembly kit to india?
Do they include all electrical items?
Do they include the chemical filament?
Does it take more time to build because i am completely a newbie in this field, we have 3 cnc routers.
Any email to contact about shipping and other infos?

Thanks

As far as I know they ship just about anywhere.

Do they include all electrical items?
If you order the non-assembled or assembled printrbot simple it comes with everything you need to get started.

Do they include the chemical filament?
It comes with about a half pound of PLA filament.

Does it take more time to build because i am completely a newbie in this field, we have 3 cnc routers.
It will take you a little bit to build but overall not too bad, especially since you already know the concepts of how a CNC works as they are very similar. I would recommend buying a kit, especially for it being your first 3D printer. The stuff you learn during assembly is invaluable. This forum is maintained by members of the forum and David from printrbot comes on periodically but, the quickest way to get a direct response from printrbot HQ is via twitter.

Any email to contact about shipping and other infos?
I believe you can email david@printrbot.com but I'm not 100% sure if that's the correct address. Try twitter as they respond quickly on there.

Happy building and I hope you get to enjoy your 3D printer soon.

Thanks

I might be able to put you in touch with a guy that cut his simple out of acrylic if it would be helpful to you. Happy building buddy.

Brook made one in red acrylic which looks really nice:

However he told me that the problem with acrylic is that it is brittle. Apparently he accidentally dropped the printer a few inches and the bottom shattered. Be careful…

It should be how you have it now unless the design changed. I would leave it round as I can't see any advantage to cutting nut traps. Good work buddy.

acme rod is threaded rod made by a company called ACME, smooth rod is just cold rolled SS rods usually 8mm or 10mm in diameter.

Depending on where you get the smooth rods. Some are cold rolled, oil rolled and even water rolled. Some are chromed. There is a discussion on RepRap forums about the different types and densities. Chromed rod is good for specific linear bearings and not for others. So it's all dependant on what your needs are and where you go to fulfill those needs.

Thankyou guys,
Now what kind of smooth rod coming along with builders kit.? it just says 10' smooth rod. Is it Cold rolled? chromed ? I need much detail about it.
And what is the PLA filament diameter used in builders kit? is it same as simple printrbot printer pla filament dia?? cuz i need to get pla filament from different state in india.
for acme rod, is it ordinary threaded rod? any specification.?

Sorry for so many questions... :-)

It should be chromed rod and that's all I know about the smooth rod. It is specific for lm8uu type linear bearings. The PLA diameter that comes in any pb setup is 1.75mm . The rod that should come with it is acme rod and I think it's 3/8ths but I'm not a 100% sure. Other than that I'm not sure of pitch or turn of the acme rod.

i have question, regarding the attachment of 625z Bearing (miniature Deep Ball Groove), Is that we have to attach them tightly or should keep somewhat loose...???
