Community backlash on Reddit was really high, but they all seemed to agree that the design was great.

Because of the comments I got on there I am taking the Kickstarter page down, for now. I will be doing a video that shows everything people want to know, getting proper pictures done of the thing, and making a better looking campaign. Stay tuned for it!

I read through the reddit threads here, and here.

They made some valid points, and I didn't think that was at all harsh.

I have to say I agree with them - I'd order,er, support one because I know you from here (and I was just about to change mine to a TB+ now I've had time to read through everything...). To the KS crowd you're just <yawn> another 3D printer. You didn't do a very good job of selling yourself or the printer. While you don't need the (late, undelivered) Tiko's approach of hiring a marketing agency before you even have a product it'd be a good idea to go find somebody to help with spiffing up those KS pages. Don't be so good that you sell millions of dollars worth on the first go and then deliver a year late - if ever. I want mine...

A few things that stand out about the design: The speeds are low compared to a Kossel's 320 mm/sec. Yes, those are travel and not print speeds, but if yours are as good then mention them. If not, maybe review your choice of motors - the Kysan 1124090 isn't that expensive in quantity. I've got break-in code generators if you're interested, they'll run faster after some use.

I don't think only having accelerated video is much of a selling point, either, and they could be interpreted as being misleading. The KS as slow delivery Amazon crowd likely won't know what 80mm/s means and might think that's the real print speed.

The print envelope is a bit small, at least for those that don't have another printer, and your price class. Your metal frame should be extra rigid and lend itself to larger prints, without adding much to the cost.

You mentioned dual extruders in passing, but nothing about how to add them or if it would be a future option.

Your price point probably doesn't allow it, with as cheap as the imported RAMPS controllers are, but I'm a big 32 bit controller (this means ARM these days) supporter.
