Hi all,
More of my issues with using hand held tools on a work bench.
The one hand held instrument I tend to use the most is the digital volt meter.
OEM's try to keep them lite. So the slightest bump tends to knock it over.
Give the knob a twist, and over it goes.
Then I have to take time to set it right, only to do it again later.
This got old fast. We know how to fix that.
Took a page from the Frequency Counter holder project.
In this case I used a Fluke 77 III hand held meter and made a cup to hold the unit snugly.
In the bottom of the cup is a 20mm hole that is part of a pivot point. Not shown.
Then the part that attaches to a three inch store purchased right angle bracket.
This holds this all very firmly.

Looking up.

Future revisions.
The cup can be made deeper.
As you can see, I missed by about 6mm.
The meter fits snugly in the cup.
I can give it a good shake and it will not fall out.
Also made a holder for the larger Fluke 87 meter.
Was using that today at work. Not bad.
Made a second one for a co worker.
I have an elderly Fluke 8060A meter.
Worked out a cup for that as well.
All the above cups have the same pivot system in their base.
Guess I should pick up a Harbor Freight Red 6 dollar DMM and make a holder for that as well.
As I get more meters to configure there will be more variants.
Be well all
