Cyclone pcb cnc

Postby EddB » 2015-Aug-Mon-03-Aug

My first attempt at a cnc. It is the Cyclone PCB cnc using ramps 1.4. The red is abs prints and black is pla prints. Finally moves correctly and control is tuned. Still working out the self leveling cutterhead. Expect my first cuts this week.
In the background is my first printed printer. It's the ob1.4 using open beam 1515 and a lot of custom designed parts. Works great, but my printrbot simple (makers) is still faster and has a larger print area than the ob1.4's 200x200mm.
All parts. For both printed with my Printrbot Simple maker's 1312 (v2 xl)

They are the ones designed for the cyclone pcb cnc. They don't appear to have any play at all. But then again I haven't run any pcb's yet. I intend to replace them with some herringbone style gears, but want to get all the firmware set up as they have it designed and working well before I mod the hardware/firmware. Got tons of ideas to "improve it"!
