Flexible PLA with Carb Cleaner

I haven't tried this (and I don't usually print PLA) although he has some talk about ABS at the end:

Anyone try this?

Was gonna make a thread about this but I saw there's already one here.

I've tried it before. It really makes pla flexible. The only problem is that after around 24h, it loses most of it's flexibility and it's only ever so slightly more flexible than before.

For example I printed a ~30mm diameter cylinder that was ~5mm tall and treated it for ~20 minutes. When I took it out it was very flexible and you could stretch it a little. After a couple days it lost it's ability to stretch but it still was able to be folded without snapping.

Seriously...please THINK a bit before jumping into this. He is working with a HIGHLY flammable and toxic mixture indoors with the windows closed. Not smart.

Better to buy flexible PLA: http://www.formfutura.com/3d-printing/filaments/eco-flexible-pla-1.75mm-3mm/natural.html

Just print really slow with it so it doesn't get pigtailed in the extruder.

No kidding. I did it outdoors with my gas mask on.
