Wide Flat object help (delamination on second layer)

Postby Sablebadger » 2015-Feb-Mon-00-Feb

I'm building a Tardis Playset for my son, and I designed a big wall piece to print on my Metal Plus with Heated bed.

For some reason the first layer prints fine, but the second layer doesn't stick to the first in the middle of the print. This object is like 200mm x 142mm, so the first layer takes forever, then the second layer is stringy and doesn't really latch onto the first layer, which the third layer chews up.

I've never had this problem before, but I've never printed anything like this in size before (Just now starting to push the edge of what my Plus can do).

Any help on how to design my way out of this problem?

A picture might help. Can you upload one or two?
