Is there some reason why people don't use the M85 code more?

I had some issues recently (that I thought might be lockups on the RPi I use for Octoprint; turned out to be wifi issues) that caused me to worry a bit about lockups mid-job.

I added M85 S600 at the very top of my startup code, M85 S30 after the heaters are at temp, and an M85 S0 at the bottom of the end code -- that way if there's any loss of communication, crash, lockup, etc., the printer will shutdown (including turning off the heaters).

Having discovered this gcode and concept, I'm surprised there's not wider use of it. Am I missing something?

(P.S., if you do this, also add the M85 S0 to your OctoPrint "cancel job" code, otherwise the printer will lock up 30s after you cancel a job.)

Looks useful. I have only very rarely experienced a breakdown of communication between my computer and the printer - but if it does happen, it's nice to know the printer will turn off the heat. Good find. :geek:
