X Axis Homeing Wrong Dirrection

Postby Vespo111 » 2015-Jan-Thu-18-Jan

I just finnished a print with my PB Simple Metal 1403 (Preassembled) and once the print ends, I home all axes, however the X axis goes up. I am not shure what to do right now, and am rather fustrated. The Axis is not completeley inverted beacuse when I command it to move +10, it moves +10, viseversa. The Console is also saying that the Gcode is outside the bed, "< 5:02:58 PM: echo:ZProbe Outside Bed" It only happens with homeing, is any one can fix this, pleases reply.

What do you mean by "the x axis goes up" the x axis moves from left to right, the z axis goes up and down.

It's most likely a faulty probe. Printrbot swears they've addressed this, but a quick scan through their own support forum says otherwise.

Yeah, my printer is acitng really strange, and it doesn't respond to any metal under it. I don't think I can print, however when I started having these problems, zip files weren't being unzipped properly, and a strange neon green zip file popped up on the dock, it was a sort of firmware update. But I digress, how would I go about replacing the probe, is it covers by a warranty?

Yes they'll send you a new probe under warranty. In the mean time check the wiring on the probe. You might have to remove the grey sleeve to be able to see where the wiring problem is.

Fixed the problem, wrong firmware. I was trying to use the auto update feature, assumeing it knew what it was doing, however it automaticley downloaded the wrong firmware. I had to connect the jumper to the printrboard and manually download the right firmware.
