bed size wrong -- M92 problem?

Postby mchahn » 2016-Oct-Sat-18-Oct

I upgraded to the wide 254mm bed some time ago and it has worked great with all size prints. I just got a rev 6 board and it worked fine until I tried to print something wider than 152mm. The print is clipped on the right at 152mm from the far left. Is there something I have to set in the firmware? Do I need a new M92 value? I'm seeing this in M501

M92 X80 Y80 Z2020 E96.00

Should X be bigger for the wider bed?

I figured it out. It is the M211 command, not the M92. Where are these commands and settings documented?

One source is http://www.reprap.org/wiki/G-code
But Printrbot has done some tweaking, so documentation on some features may be hard to find. This is true of the M211 command.

Printrbot documents their M211 settings here; of course if you've modified your bed size you'll need to also modify the settings.

The only motor current setting official doc I could find (other than references to the now defunct dozuki) are here; alas it makes you waste your time watching a video rather than simply looking at a text description.

Interestingly, there's more info in this forum (use your friendly neighborhood forum search, upper right corner of the non-mobile web page) than there is from Printrbot. Think of it as a object lesson in deciding to use your own g code definitions rather than the ones in the reprap "standard".
