Simple 1405 Y axis will home, but not move.

Simple 1405 Y axis will home, but not move.

Postby orangefurball » 2014-Jun-Tue-00-Jun

The last hurdle to cross with my Simple is the Y axis not moving. I can home it just find, but it won't move out after that. No matter what I try! Even with the G29 command, it won't move the Y, just probe the bed while moving X and Z.

My motor wire is in the same orientation as the E motor.

Homes correctly.

My Y min is 0

My Y max is 100

hey orangefurball, I left a comment in the other thread, have a look there. The key here is M206. You will want to change the Y value to Y100. thus telling the machine that the endstop for the Y axis is +100mm from you're actual home position (front of the table in this case)

" M206: set home offset

Example: M206 X10.0 Y10.0 Z-0.4

The values specified are added to the endstop position when the axes are referenced. The same can be achieved with a G92 right after homing (G28, G161).

With Marlin firmware, this value can be saved to EEPROM using the M500 command.

A similar command is G10, aligning these two is subject to discussion." -Taken from the RepRap wiki Gcode section
