Help ease the confusion of the state of wood Simples

Ok, so here is my curious question...
The 2014 Simple Maker's Kits is I guess now EOL (lets call it 2014A).
There is the New-New Simple Maker's Kit (lets just call it the 2014B).
http://printrbot.com/shop/simple-makers-kit/
There is the 2014A Maker's Upgrade Kit.
http://printrbot.com/shop/makers-upgrade-kit/
There is also the XL Upgrade for Maker's Kit 1405.
http://printrbot.com/shop/xl-upgrade-for-makers-kit-1405/

The 2014A has a 4x4x4 inch (100x100x100mm) build area. The 2014B has a 4x4x4.5 inch (100x100x114mm) build area. Does the 2014A also get the increase in build area that the 2014B has? I am assuming that it would get the extra half inch just by the removal of the "bed leveling game" moving the bed a bit lower (.25 inch maybe) and also using the same increase in upward Z axis travel (.25 inch for that extra .5)

Now if a 2014A has been refitted with the 2014A Maker's Upgrade, will the XL Upgrade for Maker's Kit 1405 now fit the upgraded 2014A?

I think you made it more confusing. The new kit is just called Maker's kit. Maker's 1405 to be exact. The upgrade kit brings all previous models up to the 1405. If you had the XL previously, get the XL 1405 wood only kit to make 1405+XL.
